MAiD (Medical Assistance in Dying)
"I believe that Gandhi's views were the most enlightened of all the political men in our time. We should strive to do things in his spirit: not to use violence in fighting for our cause, but by non-participation in anything you believe is evil."
~ Albert Einstein
"I love my life. I love my family and my friends and watching clouds roll by on a lazy summer afternoon and reading a good book and hearing the sound of my son's laughter and, yes, hearing my daughter's cry. The cry of a healthy, growing newborn. This is why I care. I care because life is worth living, and I see that deep down most people are the same; they just want to enjoy their families and their friends and their time on this planet, too."
~ James Corbett
We have questions:
- Are children allowed to access MAiD?
- Does MAiD conflict with a person's religious beliefs?
- Are people with mental illness allowed to choose MAiD?
- Are those solely with drug and alcohol addictions eligible?
- What is the difference between MAiD and hospice?
- When is MAiD appropriate?
- When is MAiD not appropriate?
In June 2016, the Parliament of Canada passed federal legislation that allows eligible Canadian adults to request medical assistance in dying.
On March 17, 2021, Parliament passed former Bill C-7 to revise eligibility criteria for obtaining MAID and the process of assessment. These changes took effect immediately. The Government is working with provinces and territories and with health care professionals to ensure eligible Canadians are able to request MAID according to the law, and that the appropriate protections are in place.

Royal Assent
Eligibility for persons with a mental illness delayed
On February 29, 2024, Bill C-62 received royal assent and immediately came into effect, temporarily postponing the MAID eligibility date for persons suffering solely from a mental illness until March 17, 2027.
The law no longer requires a person's natural death to be reasonably foreseeable as an eligibility criterion for MAID.

"... medically assisted death should not be classified under palliative care. Her concern was that ending life was in contradiction with the philosophy and practices of palliative care, the purpose of which is enhancing care for patients."
The CEO of the Mississauga Food Bank, Meghan Nicolls, said, "People are coming in asking about MAiD for help ending their lives, not because they are sick, but because they can't afford to eat."
MAiD (Medical Assistance in Dying) legislation is illuminating issues about quality of life and managing death. MAiD can provide relief for some and incite great unease for others. Eighteen men and women gathered on a Zoom call with host Lynn Thompson for this conversation, putting many ideas, insights, and perspectives on the table. Special guests joining the discussion were Jo-Anne Haun and Karen Hendrickson, co-founders of DDNI (Death Doula Network International) who spoke about their experiences being death doulas and also addressed numerous myths about MAiD.
The conversation continues in the follow-up podcast here:

"One thing is clear. With over 80% of all COVID-19 deaths in 2020 taking place in Long Term Care homes, without these deaths there would have been no "pandemic" in Canada, no fear or panic, and perhaps no COVID-19 vaccine rollout."
Hospitals received EXTRA funds when a patient:
- is diagnosed with COVID;
- is prescribed Remdesivir;
- is put on a ventilator;
- dies with COVID.
There is NO reward for succesfully treating a patient.
Drugs used in this case:
- Precedex (dexmedetomidine);
- Midazolam (benzodiazepine, Versed);
- Morphine (opioid);
- Lorazepam (Ativan, Lorazepam Intensol, Loreev XR).

Lay Witness
Discusses how the mandates and lockdowns affected her father who was fighting cancer and which eventually led to him calling for MAiD.
"Despite outrage from Canadians concerned with the ethics of allowing the mentally ill to kill themselves, the Trudeau government has pushed forward with making MAiD easier to access for those suffering with mental illness, as on March 17, 2024, those seeking MAiD can be accepted if their only condition is mental illness."
"And why is it now increasingly in vogue for governments to offer "medically assisted dying" as their "solution" to the strain and stress of this deliberately degraded world? Because those same governments are stewarded over by elitist eugenicists who hate you and want you dead, of course. When genocidal, anti-human psychopaths tell you who they are, believe them! The globalists hate life and want to end it. To counteract them, we must cherish life and seek to preserve it."
"Brain Death" is not Death
Conference May 2019: "Brain Death" - A Medico-legal Construct: Scientific and Philosophical Evidence.
"Brain death" is a deceptive manipulation of the word "death" that was chiefly invented to facilitate the extraction of healthy organs from still-living persons, (including babies, children and young adults), because vital organs from a truly dead body (cadaver) are not suitable for transplantation.
Organ donation is a lucrative business model and a lot of organ donations come from people who have overdosed.
